Mallesons are once again hosting Agribuzz during Vivid Sydney.
Agribuzz is a smart casual event providing professional networking and development opportunities in a relaxed atmosphere.
It provides the opportunity for our members and friends to exchange business intelligence and ideas over drinks and canapés, enjoy a brief presentation, and mingle with their peers. Those establishing their careers can talk to agribusiness leaders over a drink while those on the look-out for talent can meet aspiring leaders-in-the-making.
Registrations for this event will close on 8 June 2026.

In 2026, the Murray-Darling Basin Authority will deliver its review of the Basin Plan. It's been more than a decade since the Plan started and a lot has been learnt from implementation and listening to communities.
Andrew McConville, Chief Executive of the Murray-Darling Basin Authority, will talk through the tough balancing act at the heart of water management – between governments, industries, and Basin communities. Drawing on what he’s heard through Basin Plan Review consultation, Andrew will reflect on the range of views coming from Basin towns and farming regions and why those perspectives matter.
The MDBA is an independent statutory agency in the Australian Government with more than 350 staff responsible for the implementation of the Murray-Darling Basin Plan and the execution of the Murray-Darling Basin Agreement.
As Chief Executive since June 2022, Andrew is the Accountable Authority for the management and operations of the MDBA and is a member of the Authority Board.
For more than 30 years, he has been involved in natural resource management and agribusiness both in Australia and internationally. Andrew commenced his career as an agricultural economist with the Victorian state government, ran his own agribusiness consultancy, and has worked for National Australia Bank, AWB Limited, Syngenta, and the the Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association.
Andrew holds a first-class honours degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of New England and a Masters of Science in Agricultural Economics from the University of Oxford.
