Agribuzz is a smart casual event providing professional networking and development opportunities in a relaxed atmosphere. Our guest speaker for the evening will be Cara Moore, the Chief Financial Officer of Australian Food & Fibre (AFF).
Agribuzz provides the opportunity for our members and friends to exchange business intelligence and ideas over drinks and canapés, enjoy a brief presentation, and mingle with their peers.
Those establishing their careers can talk to agribusiness leaders over a drink while those on the look-out for talent can meet aspiring leaders-in-the-making.
Based in Moree, in northern NSW, Cara is an active member of the local community and has become a strong advocate for regional businesses. She's seen firsthand that some of the most challenging, rewarding and high-impact professional opportunities exist beyond Australia’s capital cities.
AFF is one of Australia’s leading integrated cotton agribusinesses. Cara joined them in 2017 and was appointed as CFO in 2019. She's a Chartered Accountant by training, and also has a background in infrastructure services.
AFF has experienced significant growth in the past decade, evolving from a farming-focused operation into a fully integrated business operating across the cotton supply chain - including ginning, warehousing and marketing - with assets and operations spanning all major irrigation valleys in New South Wales.
Throughout this period of expansion, Cara has played a key role in advising on major business acquisitions, working closely with AFF’s board and investment partners, and supporting the business through complex growth phases. Her responsibilities span capital management, governance and strategic planning.
