Agribuzz is a smart casual event providing professional networking and development opportunities in a relaxed atmosphere.
It provides the opportunity for our members and friends to exchange business intelligence and ideas over drinks and canapés, enjoy a brief presentation, and mingle with their peers. Those establishing their careers can talk to agribusiness leaders over a drink while those on the look-out for talent can meet aspiring leaders-in-the-making.
Guest speaker Trent Thorne is recognised as a committed and passionate legal specialist for the agricultural sector.
Partner and co-head of the Food and Agribusiness group at Hamilton Locke, Trent has over 21 years’ experience acting for food and agribusiness clients in a wide range of commercial matters, including complex commercial disputes, corporate & regulatory matters, negotiations, alternative dispute resolution and major pastoral property transactions.
His skills in alternative dispute resolution, and as an advocate, are widely acknowledged. He has conducted international arbitrations, lengthy trials in Queensland and acted for major agribusiness entities, large property developers, multinational resource companies, major Government Owned Corporations and large corporate entities.
He is also a non-executive director on the board of the AAM Investment Group, Rural Aid and Beef Australia.
