Alltech Young Leaders in Rural Journalism Award

The International Federation of Agricultural Journalists (IFAJ) and Alltech recognise rising stars in agricultural journalism worldwide with this outstanding professional development opportunity.
If you are between 18 and 35 years old and would relish the opportunity to join 9 of your peers from around the world at a special boot camp and go on to participate in an international congress, then this professional development award is for you.
Full details about the award and the IFAJ are available at www.ifaj.org
Individual applications must be received through the IFAJ website by February 8, 2019 and you must be a member of Farm Writers to be considered.
An international jury will select 10 “Alltech Young Leaders” from about 50 applicants from around the world (the best Australian entry will be one of the 50).  This is more than a prestigious global award—it is also an invitation to participate in the upcoming IFAJ Congress as well as in a special Boot Camp, a program that combines leadership training, network development and story-gathering on farm in the days prior to Congress.   Alltech provides each Young Leader with 1,000-Euro for Boot Camp and Congress registration and accommodation.
The 2019 IFAJ Congress will be held in Minnesota, USA, in July.
The online application form is accessed via a button at the bottom of this page and must be completed by February 8, 2019.
Applications must include three samples of work and a supporting statement from an editor or supervisor.  For all the rules, visit the IFAJ website.
